Korvai technique is special to Kanchivaram woven by interlocking the contrasting borders to with body and pallu. It is time staking, an elaborate skill that requires two weavers and three shuttles.
Our Meena sarees have butas over the body inspired by the parrots we found in abundance in Kanchi Kamakshi temple. The korvai border is drawn from the archival design and interpreted to give the contemporary flair.
